SugarExchange Certification Program

Overview

Demonstrate the quality of your Sugar application by participating in the Sugar Exchange Certification Program. By achieving 'Certified' status, users are assured that your product meets Sugar's stringent quality criteria and is ready to deploy across Sugar's complete product offerings, including Sugar Professional and Sugar Enterprise. Certification denotes the trustworthiness of the application, as well as the application provider.

The SugarExchange Certification process includes a comprehensive checklist of requirements at the presentation, system and network level. The areas covered during certification testing include:

• Platform component and configuration requirements
• Authentication and identity management
• Data access and API controls
• Patch, update mechanisms
• Error and exception handling
• Operating and licensing procedures

Certified products display the logo prominently next to their listing (Fig 1.) and can be discovered via a 'browse by designation' criteria. Certification is available only to Standard and Premium level listing partners. The certification fee includes access to technical resources to aid in the certification process.*

An additional benefit of certification is that Sugar administrators can expose certified downloadable items from SugarExchange** via the Module Loader. Certified applications are now easily able to be discovered, downloaded and installed in one seamless process without leaving Sugar (Fig 2.)
